Most people don't. They like to pretend they already know things without ever having to learn.

But you're smarter than that.

You know that you need to be open to new ideas sometimes.

I suppose that's why Caitlin chose you.

I know the kinds of lies they tell you on that side. We aren't evil. We're just different.

Anything could be a setup. That doesn't mean everything has to be.

We're different in that we were made from you. If some of us are extreme, it's because some of you have that capacity.

What if the darkness is more painful on your side? If you've never known anything else, how would you tell?

You get set up by people you trust enough, it kinda makes you wary.

Extreme is one word for it.

You don't have to live something to understand it. That's what empathy's for. Maybe the darkness is less painful because you don't fight it as much.

What do you think our world is like?

[Honestly? He's never thought about it much. It was less of an immediate concern than other things happening. Now, he thinks maybe he should have investigated into it more.]

I dunno...I guess I kinda picture everything in reverse, or like a negative photograph. It's mostly the same, but your motivations are different, and you have to please a psychopath to stay alive, which sounds the opposite of fun.

Don't you feel indebted to the ones who gave you life? Isn't that the relationship between a parent and child?

We don't always agree, but we wouldn't exist without her.

Mine weren't as bad as they could've been, they took care of me and everything, but they played favorites between me and my brother a lot. Being ignored and pushed aside isn't the best feeling.

sometimes it can feel like that for us. We don't get to talk to you often. You're always breaking mirrors and cutting us off.

He only knows what he's been told and that it's awfully creepy to think people are just sitting around watching your life like a reality TV show. Reminds him of the time he found fake!Wells' secret security cameras​ that he used to spy on Team Flash. It's unsettling.

Still. For whatever bit it might count, it gives him pause, and maybe earns a sympathy point or two from him.]
